Firmly Rooted started with a dream of living a simple, self-sufficient life. It’s owners Brian and Tamara started out in a 200 sqft off-grid tiny house, farming 1-acre of family land just outside of Bayfield.

The farm moved to Belgrave, and has grown, as has their home, and their dedication to providing high quality, delicious, and certified organic vegetables.

Tamara and Brian are known for their salad greens, specialty root vegetables, the unsurpassed shelf life of their produce, and for their focus on producing food year-round.

Firmly Rooted produces over 40 different vegetable crops. They focus on producing baby salad greens, microgreens, head lettuce, cooking greens, culinary herbs, and specialty roots crops for much of the year. In the summer they grow a variety of tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini’s.

When Brian and Tamara first attended farmers markets in Huron County, they found a loyal and enthusiastic customer base. They quickly fell in love with the community and became passionately dedicated to providing them with the very best food possible.

Beyond that, Brian and Tamara are plant geeks and food nerds, they LOVE growing, eating, and talking food. It’s their vocation, their hobby, and their obsession; they build relationships with their customers around this shared love.
